Analytics Challenge
I competed and placed in Temple’s Annual Analytics Challenge, utilizing excel, SQL, and the adobe creative suite. These tools allowed me to parse through large data sets and create a motion graphic that depicted how media companies can align with the growing trends surrounding esports.
Application Development
Various MIS classes have given me great experience in creating a digital end product. In an application development class, I created a functioning rental app that interacted with existing databases and called to a Google Street View API. I utilized various technologies including jQuery, nodeJS, and SQL to explore back-end and front-end development.
Penetration Testing
The object of this project was to crack into a target machine and exploit any and all vulnerabilities to obtain sensitive data. We preformed a Nessus Scan which identified open ports. This allowed us to obtain access to user accounts by preforming various Hydra and CEWL attacks to crack passwords. On the machine, we discovered unsalted hashes using md5 in a SQL database that was easily cracked. After the attack, my team was tasked with outlining the risks and vulnerabilities contained within the system. Information was gathered through examination and penetration testing of the attacked server.
Digital Solutions Studio
In my Digital Solutions Studio class, I participated in a semester long group project where we created an application for a real client. Our client was a fleet management company, and we were tasked with creating an internal remarketing portal for the employees. We conducted interviews with the stakeholders, drafted scope documents, elicited requirements to define use cases, provided regular deliverables, and ultimately created a working prototype utilizing JustInMind.
